How the Shapiro Design Group Design Process Works
First meeting
This is the first (and not too pretty) set of measurements that are taken at our first meeting should you decide to move forward with Shapiro Design Group. Click the image below to see more detail.
Second Meeting
At our second meeting, we review a rough sketch (and sometimes a second option) for your proposed kitchen layout. We are now looking at appliance and sink placement, traffic flow, and general functionality. During this meeting, if you decide to move forward with Shapiro Design Group, we ask for a retainer and provide a formal agreement for our work together.
Third Meeting
Once we agree on where the appliances and sink(s) should go, we start adding cabinets and this is where the kitchen starts coming alive! This is also where we put the sketches in autoCAD so you can see clean drawings of both the floor plan and elevations of your proposed kitchen
Meeting to Order Cabinets
Once we have agree on every detail for your kitchen including layout, cabinet style, finishes, accessories, moldings, etc, we review the final plans for your approval. These plans are used to order your cabinets. You will sign off on the plans, the cabinet contract, as well as an actual door style(s) with finishes.
